Our Team

Cici was born in Kunming, China, but grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.  She attended the University of Chicago, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature. She received a magna cum laude Latin honor for her academic achievements. She also minored in Philosophy. She received her college's Metcalf Internship grant multiple times to work for organizations such as a local nonprofit helping to provide free debate education to underprivileged students. She attended law school at HKU for a semester, but returned to the educational industry, where she feels most at home working directly with students.

Cici resolved to work as an admissions consultant because of her love for mentorship and her own fruitful experience applying to US colleges as an international student.  As part of the successful ARCH team, Cici has helped many students based in Hong Kong and US/UK boarding school reach HYPS/Ivy League colleges, such as Stanford and Columbia, and top Canadian programs. She is particularly adept at guiding students who face learning differences and identity‑related challenges, helping them build coherent and authentic narratives for their applications.  Outside of Hong Kong, she has also worked with students from a range of curricula and backgrounds in Canada and mainland China, supporting them in reaching highly selective universities such as Northwestern and Harvard. In addition, Cici has worked as an English and SAT instructor, giving her hands-on experience with inspiring students. She is known for her structured approach, clear planning, and ability to build strong rapport with students and families while helping them translate their experiences into compelling applications.

Here at ARCH, Cici is an admissions Consultant working with the university consulting team. 

In her spare time, Cici likes watching movies, reading, and creative writing, especially joining other aspiring writers to workshop their pieces. She has recently published a short story about growing up between cultures in a literary magazine. She also likes travelling and tasting international food and drinks.
